I am an oil painter who has been immersed in the world of art since 2016. My journey began with Plein Air (outdoor) painting, and around 2020, I ventured into the realm of portraiture. Occasionally, I muster the courage to delve into figure painting as well.

For me, Plein Air painting is a simple and liberating experience. I prefer using a big one-inch flat brush to capture the significant shapes and the essence of the scene. I believe in letting things unfold naturally during the process – "I paint, and whatever happens, happens. Plein Air painting is the greatest escape!"

On the contrary, portraiture demands a more deliberate and precise approach. Unlike trees and clouds where a slight deviation is acceptable, facial features must be rendered with exactitude, especially when aiming to capture a likeness. Despite the precision required, I find portraiture to be incredibly rewarding, surpassing the joys of Plein Air painting. "There's nothing quite like the feeling of capturing someone, especially when the subject recognizes themselves in my work."
